How you care about your WARM-ME
AIR OUT INSTEAD OF WASHING.
Washing shortens the life of wool. Airing out after wearing for a few hours will keep your garment in good condition.
Light wrinkles and odours will quickly evaporate in damp night or bathroom air.
WASH WITH WOOL FABRIC DETERGENT AND GLYCERINE.
Hand wash in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild wool detergent or gentle shampoo.
Do not leave wool submerged in water but rather soak it for a short time. Squeeze and massage your garment gently to wash.
Dry cleaning is NOT recommended. Do NOT use fabric softener nor detergent with bleach or other colour brighteners.
To treat spots, rinse them as soon as possible with cold water.
RINSE MULTIPLE TIMES.
Rinse multiple times at an even temperature and gently squeeze to remove the excess water.
Do not rub harshly nor wring it out.Tip: in the last rinse, add a fingertip’s worth of glycerine to the water to avoid pilling.
LET DRY IN A COOL PLACE.
Lay your wool garment on a flat surface on a towel and reshape it if necessary. Then leave to dry completely, turning it 2-3 times.
Do NOT leave it on a heater or in the sun.
Pilling is a natural part of all wool garments and does not imply poor quality. Even the finest Cashmere yarns will start to pill
when worn regularly. Pilling can be prevented by using glycerine during washing.
Pills can be removed by using a de-pilling device (sweater shaver) or a dry razor. The ideal time to de-pill the wool is after washing,
when the wool is still slightly damp.
Warning: do NOT rip off pills – this will damage or even ruin the fibre.
